What can I say about Rob...?

Once a week, he visits me and finds new and interesting ways to put my body through physical stress and pain with a combination of TRX, kettle bells and resistance bands. He takes a worrying amount of enjoyment in forcing me to reach my personal fitness goals and doggedly holds me to account on my dietary choices.

His annoying affability, professionalism and good sense of humour always shine through meaning that, unfortunately, I can't even dislike him for what he does. Even worse than that, my clothes fit better, I'm stronger and fitter than I have ever been so I expect that he wants me to be grateful or something…

Debbie Neubauer

When I started with Rob I hadn’t done regular exercise for quite some time and just wanted to feel stronger and have more energy. After two years of regular sessions with him I can definitely say I feel stronger, have better body confidence and have a different mindset when it comes to exercise.

Rob makes sessions fun and helps you see how much progress you are making (even with those exercises you tell him you really hate!) Rob never made me feel like I couldn’t do something and was quick to highlight the small wins as well as the big ones. I can highly recommend Rob as a personal trainer.

I was determined that I couldn’t lose weight, or keep weight off. Multiple failed attempts left me hating dieting and any form of exercise. I wasn’t prepared to change my lifestyle but as my health diminished I set about seeking help.

Having tried multiple gyms and personal trainers locally, Rob has been the only one to derive success for me! He understands the balance of mind over body and just gets you doing things that you enjoy. I’ve lost weight already and have a manageable, doable plan. Long may it continue. Couldn’t recommend highly enough.

Charlotte

Rob is an exceptional personal trainer. He has great knowledge and ability to adapt to your individual needs and goals. He has a wealth of experience to challenge you in imaginative ways and makes the sessions fun.

Rob is a great motivator whilst maintaining a calm persona.I would recommend Rob Carr to anyone looking for personal training in Petersfield and surrounding areas. Thank you Rob!!

Frequently Asked Questions

Home: FAQ

Where do the sessions take place?

In a private studio in Liphook, Hampshire, or via your phone, laptop or tablet anywhere in the world!

How long do the sessions last?

All sessions, unless specifically discussed are 60 minutes long.

What equipment is available at the studio?

Everything you will need! TRX suspension trainers, Kettlebells up to 32Kg’s, barbells, weight plates and rack, TRX RIP Trainers, resistance bands, pull-up bar, Concept 2 Rower and much more!

Are group sessions suitable for beginners?

Of course! Group sessions have a set structure of movements. If you are new to training, you will likely use your bodyweight whereas a more experienced client may add weights such as kettlebells in order to suit the right level of intensity for every client.

What is the difference between Small Group Personal Training and Classes?

Small Group Personal Training (SGPT) sessions follow a specific structure which is progressive and monitored to ensure each individuals goals are achieved. The groups are small which means the coach has more attention on each clients technique offering constructive feedback, rather than just being your cheerleader.

What should I bring with me?

You, yourself and I. Oh and a water bottle, sweat towel is ideal and wear appropriate ‘fitness clothing’.

I have an injury, will I still be able to train?

This depends on the severity of the injury. More often than not, if the injury isn’t completely debilitating, we can work around it. For example, if you have an issue with your knee, we will focus more on upperbody, core and leg movements that do not aggravate it.

What is your cancellation policy?

1-2-1 sessions can usually be moved provided you are able to give me more than 24 hours notice. If you need to move your group slot, then provided you give more than 24 hours notice, I will look to move you to an alternative group session. However, for both 1-2-1 sessions and group slots, if you cancel within 24 hours notice of a session then this will be charged at full price unless otherwise agreed.

How many sessions should I do?

This depends on many factors such as your availability, financial, goal time frame etc. Usually clients have 1-2 individual sessions and 1-2 group sessions per week. The best thing to do would be to speak to Rob directly who can advice.

Do you work alongside physiotherapists?

Yes, I have worked with Ben Salvetti-Langton for a few years at Body & Mind Phyisiotherapy. We work in unison to enable each client to overcome their injuries and ailments in a well-thought through approach. Provided you are happy for us to do so, we will share information between us to support your training and recovery.

I’m in, what should I do next?

Great, you won’t regret it. The best thing to do is to fill in the enquiry form HERE and Rob will be in touch to discuss the best plan of action for you.
