The picture at the bottom of this blog was taken whilst on honeymoon in Bali. If you haven't been, I strongly recommend you go.

I am writing my first blog whilst staying at the Six Senses hotel in Uluwatu. Don’t worry, I haven’t neglected my wife, Beth. She is happily reading her 9th book of the 2 week holiday, leaving me to entertain myself. Usually I would go to the gym, swim in the pool or read a strictly non-fiction book. However, I have decided to start a blog on all things under the health and fitness umbrella. I read, watch and listen to many 'influencers' in the industry and now I want my say.

For those of you who don’t know me, I’m Rob Carr and until recently, I have been running a private Health Club in Hampshire, UK alongside personal training a select number of clients. Prior to this managerial role, I worked at a flagship David Lloyd club as a Personal Trainer before becoming the Lead Coach of 12 personal trainers.

When deciding what to do for a career, I consider myself very lucky as I always had a passion for sport and fitness. Playing semi-professional football, competing at numerous athletics events and having a dad who alongside working in banking was a tennis coach made my career choice a simple one.

I consider myself pretty fit and healthy. I enjoy a variety of fitness styles, eat healthy 80% of the time and yes, I also have a 6 pack. I often get asked what ‘my secret’ is or ‘do I drink alcohol, eat chocolate or have rest days?’ (No secret, yes, yes and yes.) So I thought rather than having the same conversations about how I eat, train or function, I thought blogging would be a good platform to voice my methods, as well as the odd social media post.

I plan to blog once or twice a month to start with as my wife and I just bought out first house in Petersfield whilst playing semi-professional football, training for the London Marathon on April 28th whilst staring a new business venture.

If you’re even remotely interested in what I have to offer (if you’ve read this far I’d say you are) then please do follow me on my other social platforms:
